Keith Schiller, Esq., Schiller Law, a Professional Law Corporation, of Alamo, CA, is a nationally respected expert on federal estate, gift and GST law and compliance and the award-winning author of the extensive textbook, Art of the Estate Tax Return. This treatise, as supplemented, addresses practical points, problem avoidance and offers key insights by leading practitioners for the effective preparation of the Form 706. Keith has been a practicing attorney since 1974 working with clients on estate planning, business succession and federal tax law compliance. He is sought after by attorneys, accountants and bank trust departments to advise on issues relating to federal transfer tax law and to assist them when problems arise before the filing and post-filing of the estate, gift and GST related returns. Keith has lectured since 1987 on federal transfer tax laws, primarily full-day courses for the California CPA Education Foundation. He speaks frequently at tax conferences, including annual plenary session requests. Keith has authored dozens of articles for national professional publications. He is a member of the Consulting Group for the Leimberg Information Services, Inc. and the Advisory Board to the Estate, Gifts and Trusts Journal for Bloomberg, BNA Tax Management. Keith publishes under the tradename “Estate Planning At The Movies.” He has also taught with IRS estate tax attorneys, group managers and appeal officers since 1997. From another passion, Keith lobbied passage and chaired the marketing of the Yosemite License Plate. This special-interest plate has raised in excess of $46 million for the preservation of Yosemite National Park and California conservation.
